About

The majority of my reflections unfold during my train journeys to and from client locations. I seize the fleeting 20-minute intervals in transit to transcribe the musings that percolated during my 13-minute stroll from home to the station. Within this blog lie some of the contemplations from years past. Initially, I wasn’t a consistent writer, and my attempts at scribbling were infrequent. In some of the handwritten attachments, I’ve endeavored to include dates.

My inaugural post dates back to 1990 when it graced the pages of my engineering college’s annual magazine. It was a narrative centered around ‘Marina beach,’ our cherished meeting place for a close-knit group of engineering friends. Those were the days of spirited discussions over ‘samosa and tea’ amidst breezy evenings.

Following my debut publication, my writing endeavors fluctuated, primarily propelled by my emotions. Even now, my B.E. second-year electric circuits notebook in India holds a few handwritten scripts hailing from the 1990s. Since May 2016, I’ve embraced a more frequent writing habit. Upon completing a piece, I routinely share it with my sister and brother-in-law for their firsthand impressions. While my sister, a skilled writer, appreciates a more formal and structured presentation, my brother-in-law, a “sharp shooter of thoughts,” holds a similar view. Despite their critiques of my work as raw and informal, lacking the finesse of ‘manuishyaputhiran,’ I hold the belief that poetry should be informal, accessible to every reader, characterized by simplicity and directness. An unconventional touch is evident in the inclusion of audio files for most scripts.

I’ve been vigilant to ensure that my words and thoughts respect the values and beliefs of individuals. If they inadvertently undermine, I welcome emails for discussion. Convinced of the need for change, I am committed to re-scripting statements or content. I trust you find enjoyment in the collection and discern the underlying message within each script.
